My adult male leapord gecko has been licking his vent constantly. I have been giving him baths and was examining his vent today and found some dried skin that I removed. I also saw this red irritated bump and I’m not quite sure what’s going on or what to do. Any help much appreciated.

Males produce mucous-like stuff called "sperm plugs' (it is what it sounds like). Sometimes it builds up. If you can stand to do this, push gently on the bulge near the red bump. You will evert (pop out) the hemipenis and there will be some white gunk on the end. Remove that. The hemipenis will go back in when you stop pressing. That bump should then go down. If it doesn't you'll need to consult a reptile vet.
