Im mostly concerned about the area the hatchling has to roam, which is better? IMG_4799.jpg Habitat 1 IMG_4800.jpg Habitat 1 IMG_4801.jpg Habitat 2 IMG_4802.jpg Habitat 2
The top 2 pictures (Habitat 1) is a sterilite storage bin. The bottom 2 (Habitat 2) is a tarantula/hermit crab cage.

You will get a better heat gradient (temperature change from one end to the other) with the rectangular habitat.

I agree, the rectangular one will give better temperature gradient :) And don't worry GeckoGrace, that is plenty of room for a hatchling. Anymore than a 10 gallon tank size could even stress it out! However that size tub should only be used until they are around 30 grams or so :)

I agree that habitat 1 (rectangular) is the best choice. I feel like you'll have a hard time keeping temps in the correct zones with the circular container.
Also, it looks like there's more room in the rectangle than there is in the circle if that's a concern for you.
