Will night vision camera damage leopard gecko eyes

Im wondering if I put a night vision camera at my leopard gecko terrarium if the night vision would damage their eyes, if it would irritate them? And also can they see the infrared of the camera and would it then look like day?

I know other people use infrared lights and it doesn't seem to bother the gecko. Many people feel that they can't see infrared but a few sources suggest that they can. On the other hand, my geckos put up with the living room lights on until pretty late at night and it doesn't seem to bother them.
