Bulldog comes in the other day...unsure of the signalment (age/sex/spayed or neutered/breed) I was off.

Vomiting for 36 hours...constantly. The dog cannot keep any food or water down. Was not urinating or deficating.

Here's the XRay! Now...tell me.

1.) What did this dog eat?

2.) (BONUS) What else is wrong with this XRay?

3.) (FOLLOW UP BONUS) What is this condition called?

The last two questions I only expect veterinary professionals to be able to answer. Don't feel bad if you don't see anything at all! Radiographs are hard to evaluate.

Good luck!

1.) Waiting for others to respond before I answer to this...

2.) The bowel is full of air. Not twisted. No Gastric Dilatation Volvulus.

3.) There was no intassusception.

You are doing VERY well, though...

wish bone?

That is what I originally thought, but no. Good guess though.

HINT: Look at the density of the animal's bones and then look at the density of the object in question...closely...what has density that animals like to eat? What does that look like?

also my dog ate a sock one time. she shit it out and tried to eat it again ugh

When he was very young, still a puppy in the process of being trained about such things, my dog ate a kitchen sponge. Whole. When he passed it, it came out as a (dirty) yellow mass that was the shape of a normal dog-bowel movement. As I reached down, bag turned inside out over my hand, to pick it up for disposal, it slowly unfolded; like a time-lapse video of a flower bud opening, to be a normal rectangular sponge shape.
