It's based on multiple experiences, not just one. I have my opinions and you have yours. Let's not keep singling people out.
I think this thread is going to a pointless place. There is no reason to keep commenting about what is a pit and what isn't and what dogs bite and what dogs don't.
I knew two separate people with two different dogs. Both were 3-4 month old puppies, one a chihuahua and the other a chihuahua mix. At such a young age, both growled, bared their teeth and bit people and me on more than one occasion... so I question whether that has anything to do with...
I got her when I was in Kentucky. I just searched online for someone who had a mini pig. We payed $140. She will only get about 20-30 pounds... supposedly. hahaha we will see though.
I am NOT afraid of little dogs for any irrational reason. I HAVE BEEN BITTEN MULTIPLE TIMES BY LITTLE DOGS WHEN I WAS MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS.
NEVER HAVE I BEEN BITTEN BY A BIG DOG!
That is absolutely NOT and irrational fear.
The only reason dog bites from pits and other big dogs are...
The ONLY reason Rottweilers and Pits are categorized as such a "dangerous" breed (BS) is because of their size. I have NEVER EVER been bitten by a big dog. Pomeranians and chihuahuas, yes. I would rather walk up to a stranger/lost rottweiler or Pit than a little dog. I have had little dogs...
We have a medium sized backyard and she is fine. She lives in the house like a dog and gets walked (sometimes) so I don't think she has a problem not having acres and acres. Chickens are fun, we have 2! :)
LOVE IT! Thanks Katie, I completely agree. And to be honest, almost any dog can be taught NOT to be dog aggressive. I met two dogs with SEVERE dominance issues. I brought my dog, rottweiler, who will not take crap from most dogs and within 3 days they were all buddies. Aggression IS a learned...
Actually I have not noticed any scratching of the floor at all. And if she were to track in dirt, she probably does, i would assume the dogs would do it too so I don't think it's an issue. She is a very very clean animal. She wont even go in her litter box if there is more than two little poops...
Her hair is not wiry by any means. It is actually quite soft. That may change with age but for now she is a cute, cuddly, soft baby! :) hahaha her but is the softest part! (maybe because she has some junk in the trunk)
