Got my 3rd one today, very different from first ones: it's HUGE!!! So was the egg... High Yellow x Bell Albinos = High Yellow or Hypo Tangerine here..?
And here's the pic with all of the 2013 babies together, you can see why i said he's huge he's few hours old, other Hypo is 10 days old and...
Actually having the same issue, i found this thread... It's my 2nd baby, first one hatched only days ago... So i got no experience with them, tried to remove some of it (he started licking it, even swallowed a bit...) but it's very hard, soaking the hatching doesn't get the vermiculite off and...

And this is his/her enclosure, looks ok to you? Paper is moist of course, not enough though (gonna dry quick)...
Yes it's a defense trait, for example when you catch one and put it in paper (subtrat for a viv) then days later it will smell like DEATH, horrible... Sometimes that liquid will really splash like it was a shot so be careful :)
That's why I'm asking! I'd there a way I can make the viv cooler permanently? I knew some people who had crested here but lost contact...

Hello, I'd like to have a crested gecko but how would I do for the temperatures? I mean get when it will be August it's supposed to be winter for the gecko but here will be 32C°.. What to do then?
