Hehe, thanks! BFG's Mufasa was the first crestie I ever handled, so it was only right for me to get my first from 'em!
I am hoping to go to FIRExpo with a friend of mine, so we'll see. :D
And no, that is the new 3.0 Repashy CGD. I would never feed a crestie baby food, and no one else...
I would say no. Cresteds need a space that is taller than it is wide. A 12x12x18/10 gallon tank is recommended for juvies-young adults. I personally suggest an 18x18x24/20 gallon or maybe even larger for an adult.
I'm honestly not sure...It seems like they're wire wrapped with some kind of natural husk? They may be temporary, honestly. I only grabbed them on the way home and made them since I couldn't find any small vines at ReptiCon when I went. If I notice anything off, they'll be replaced...
Thank you! It was really fun to put together. I can't wait until he grows up and I can upgrade his setup. :D
As for the vines, Emi had a specific technique--she's more tactile than I am--but it was a specific kind of floral wire and was made to keep the shape it's bent into, so it wasn't...
So…Repticon was a HUGE success yesterday.
This is His Royal Highness, Lord Ascalon Johnathan Stickyfeet.
“Lonny” is an un-sexed Halloween Harlequin crested gecko, my favorite morph! I got him at a steal from Big Fat Geckos and I couldn’t be happier.
He’s extremely laid back and is...
Ok so I found another ExoTerra on sale. It's the 18x18x24, but I'm looking into getting a young crestie still...
If I somehow sectioned-off the tank, would that work? I know you're not supposed to put little guys in large tanks because they have trouble finding the food, but if I partitioned...
Long time no see folks. I've been itching to bring a new critter into my life recently. It's been two years since I fell in love with cresties, and with ReptiCon coming up this weekend I feel its time I finally caved.
I was going to get an 18x18x24 ExoTerra for the new addition for just...
Hey, I have back issues. I have an excuse! ;P
I've heard about the humidity problems, but it looks like a lot of people fix that by placing a sheet plastic/acrylic/glass on the top of the cage, which wouldn't be too difficult for me. As for the rusting screen...I suppose it can always be...
Putting one together will likely be a looooot easier than getting two guys to help me carry my beast 18x18x24 Exo-Terra aaaaaall the way across the house, hahaha!
Oh? What makes you say that? I do think I prefer glass over acrylic, but have you had any specific problems with it?
I'm trying to get info from as many sources as I can. :)
Alright, it's settled then~! Hopefully by the start of next year I'll have myself a new scaly baby to love on. We're cleaning the house out soon enough, so maybe I can start hoarding extra terrariums finally. You can never have enough spares, I think. ;P
Thanks guys!
