My leopard gecko Lily was purchased from Celebrity Geckos in 2008 and is a healthy and sweet girl. I am unable to keep her and am looking for someone to give her a welcoming home. Ideally I would like to see her with someone with prior experience with leopard geckos so that I know she'll be in...
Great! So that's normal then? Will her body dissolve it if it stays unfertilized or could she actually lay it?
And that would explain her odd behavior and appetite? If so... wooohoo! Finally some reasoning behind all of this! :)
My 11 month old Lily has lost her appetite for a couple months now. Throughout the last 2 months she's maybe ate 20 mealworms total, but I did recently get her wax worms and she's eating about 4 total within the past 2 weeks. However, she doesn't seem to be losing weight and her tail isn't...
My 10 month old Lily lost interest in eating for a month. Then I bought some wax worms through advice through this forum. She was immediately interested in them, and I fed her 2. Then I fed her the remainder of the mealworms that were in her dish, about 8. Then one final wax worm to make up...
Well, I finally got Lily to eat :)
I picked her up a 50 count pack of waxworms from my local pet store, dusted it, and offered it to her. She lunged for it faster than ever!
Then I gave her the rest of the mealworms from her dish, about 8, and she ate them right away. Looks like the wax...
My leo Lily is 10 months old and still hasn't learned to eat from her food dish. She must be immensely spoiled because she will only eat the mealworms that I hand-feed her with metal tongs.
Even if the worm were to run too far away, she prefers me to pick it back up and place it in front of...
I have been able to see how comfortable she really gets when she sleeps :) This is the norm for her now, and sometimes it's even paired with using her food dish as a pillow.
Also, these are the first pics I've posted of her... so meet Lily :) I got her back in September, and she's about 10...
I got my first brick of Eco Earth today. I only need a small amount that I want to put in her moist hide, but the brick was near impossible to break off a piece. Instead I am just following the directions and soaking the entire brick.
But since I only need a small piece of it, how can I...
But...
If one person has a question it's inevitable that someone else will eventually have that question as well.
And if you were to spend the time helping one individual with a question, wouldn't you want your time to be spent most efficiently by helping out a number of people?
I've...
Most animals simply want to be alive and without pain.
Almost any animal that we love, even if it's a pet insect, is capable of us anthromorphizing it to have feelings as if we were in its place.
I'm sure your leo is paradise :)
I've read that over time geckos can even "convert" to being more active during the daytime. I guess this is sort of what I am looking for, if she is going to hide whenever my light is on. If this is possible, and maybe necessary in my situation if I ever want to actually see her, how do I go...
