She must be very bonded to you to have laid an egg...that or its a sign of inappropriate(sp?) petting...if you pet her back she takes it as a sign of mating and lays eggs...I learned that the hard way with an overly frisky cockatiel...:main_yes:
Just like the title says, my Bourke's decided that they wanted to give me some grandkids (4 eggs so far). So the same day they got to my house (they were a birthday gift) they went ahead and mated right in front of my entire family. I guess they weren't shy about doing the do in public lmao. I...
Do your guys like fruits and veggies or do they just play with it like mine do? They usually get a bath afterwards from being sticky from the fruit juices lol
The majority of their dry food (about 85%) is zupreem fruit blend pellets and the other 15% is a sunflower/safflower mix...they also get fruits and veggies...they mostly like brocolli(sp?) and apples/oranges...they mostly play with the fruits and veggies, they also get a sprinkle of oyster...
oh well at least she's pretty to look at...If you decide to DNA test your green cheeks there is a place here in Miami that does it for cheaper than AvianBiotech...let me know and I can send you a link...they are very nice and very helpful
I wish breeders would band all of their birds...even the little birds...I banded all of my cockatiels so they are all identifiable in case they are lost or stolen...and I plan on doing the same with Sugar and Spices' babies...
Awwwwww so cute...I have a pair of Cinnamon green cheeks I'm going to set up in March for breeding...:D
Couldn't help but notice but your little birdies aren't banded...did you get them from a breeder that didn't band them or were these bred by you?
