My male leo I've had for a year and a half just bit me... He's never shown signs of aggression before. No recent changes to his habitat and he's being fed 3 dusted superworms every other day. He's been showing signs of distress or agitation all day. They're in a 40 gallon breeder, so I doubt the...
After the little goofball shed I realized he isn't black at all, just a deep brown/purple with faint yellow only in certain places. The rest of him is white like the siblings. Will we go with normal/wild type?
Ok I've posted a few feeds of 3 of my other babies that hatched this year. I had a baby hatch while I was away on vacation (neighbor was nice enough to set him up a tank with my instruction). This one is different than the first 3. It has a nice striped pattern with the black marks bordered by...
I think I'm going with the name "Dauntless" for this little one. She's already a spitfire and tries to jump off of everything, especially my hands. I think the name suits her :P
I used a teeny tiny drill bit on a dremel tool and put a bunch of holes in the lids of mine. Make sure you take the lid off while you drill it and brush away all the plastic shavings. If you're unsure if any are left, swishing it around in a bucket of water should do the trick. If you don't have...
Ok so I got a very pleasant surprise this morning. After almost 2 dozen eggs failing (growing mold, developing then never hatching, etc.) I had a surprise hatching. The egg didn't grow noticeably at all so I wasn't expecting it. But here she is, my newest baby (still unnamed). She is a cross...
So my baby V is a month old now, and he's barely put on a gram in weight. Is this normal? His tail is fat and he seems happy and alert. He's bumped up to extra small crickets, and I've been alternating dusting them with calcium and a reptile vitamin. I just thought he'd be bigger by now
Mine prefer the coconut husk shavings in their hide. They use the moist hide all the time too. Not just when they're shedding. Try a cheap ziplock container with a little of that stuff in it.
It's OK. It's not too late to separate them to quarantine. Jezabel is most likely a happy healthy gecko, but is it worth the chance?
I wouldn't put her together with Greg until they're both about the same size, especially with the interest Greg is showing. The tail wagging is a body language...
