    Thank You Northen Neck Electric

Sorry to hear that you have lost hatchlings due to defects. It sucks when things like that happen, this warmer, humid weather is crappy. I have not had the unfortunate circumstances of a power outage yet, but some days it feels close. The average temperature in my area during the summer...

    Morph?

Nice looking geckos, I agree a red dalmatian and a yellow flame. I noticed that the red's tail looks like it has shed stuck on it and has shriveled up on the tail. It may lose that part of the tail, just to fore warn you. If it does lose the tail, no worries, it may just lose part of the...

    Getting hatchling to eat?

So there is no signs of poop in the cage? Some things to consider is size of the cage. I am keeping mine in the small kritter keepers and am using souffle lids for the food dishes and I have poop all over the tanks in that set up, even though I can not see that the crestie is eating.

    injured crested...._!

I see how the leg is swollen and I am wondering if it is because of an injury from being caught in the lid or door of the cage when it was younger. Does it mush around like there is fat in it or does it feel more like a liquid puss? Does the gecko act any differently than any of your other...

    2nd crested gecko clutch

I am torn between Gecko #3 and #2, both are great looking geckos. Gecko #1 and #4 have not really fired up yet to determine how well they fire up. Gecko #1 has the most pin stripping of the 4 though.

    moss moist hides for hatchlings

I was more so wondering about creating a cool place to hide when it gets warmer here. We get nasty heat waves here of 86° on occasion, the average temperature is actually pretty cool though, normally around 58°. I keep my hatchlings in small kritter keepers with paper towel and a small...

Tropical Fruit Mix In by Zoo Med anyone try this?

just to add to darkridder's post get a rubbermaid or zip lock screw on cap container to help keep the diet as fresh as possible. I was tossing the diet a lot when I was keeping it in the bag, because the bags would get beat up and tear, spoiling the diet inside. Since switching to the sealed...

    moss moist hides for hatchlings

I have never come across it in my readings, but is it safe to make a sphagnum moss moist hide for hatchlings or is there a big fear of ingesting the moss when they are just out of the egg. I use coco fiber for my adults and if they ingest any of it, it passes without a problem because the...

Tropical Fruit Mix In by Zoo Med anyone try this?

the names of certain chain pet stores are blanked out for forum protection against accusations of slander. Tony's quote says it best, better to leave a good thing alone. Just mix the CGD with water and if you use the 2 part diet try offering different flavours to add variety or insects...
