(Leopard gecko) Okay so I had to separate my girls and boy because I don't have anything to make an incubator... but what's got me puzzled is that my girl Isis who was nursed back to health hasn't been placed with a male for over three months and just laid an egg.. and might I add its her first since I've had her last year... is it possible that they can lay eggs just to lay? I don't see it being possible that she held onto sperm that long and created a infertile egg... please help.

It's possible she's laying fertile eggs because she's stored sperm. It's also possible that she just laid infertile eggs. THere are some gecko females that do lay eggs without benefit from a male (both my female day geckos who I got as juvies and who have never been with a male laid eggs first year or so), though it isn't as common.

As Aliza said she could be laying fertile or infertile. It'll just depend on how recently she was exposed to a male for breeding.
