Some N. wheeleri hatchlings from the last 4-6 weeks.

Another one of my fun/long term projects- finally getting some decent progress the last few years! The one directly in the middle hasn't shed yet. Normal variation ranges from a white to pink, but I started selectively breeding for higher coloration with a single "high color" male (in 2005). The "high color" line usually hatches out dark pink/orange and this coloration stays into adulthood.

Thanks for the kind words. I'll take an updated photo of the original male when I get a chance. He's somewhat duller due to his age, but when fired up he is the same coloration as those high color 1-2 month babies.

Here's the original 5yr old male, offspring from last year, and recent babies. Usually there is at least one nicely colored offspring out of the same clutch, but not always.
