I am setting up a vivarium for a juvenile crested gecko and was wondering if a begonia would be safe to put in. I do not know the scientific name of the specific begonia but it does not look like the ones that are known to be toxic to dogs and cats. I have heard that the roots may be toxic to rhacs and if that is so would it be safe to have in the vivarium if there was moss over the base of the plant (to shield the roots). P.S, the begonia has fuzzy leaves and if that is any help at all.

when I set up my vivs I don't often venture out of plants I know are safe. however when I do I avoid things that have small fragile leave, that could easily be ingested, I also avoid any plants that have small hairs, and of course I also avoid things that have a obvious defense of thorns or spikes.
