Best Substrate for Leos?

would like some feedback please. i would like natural looking so no paper towels, i would like live plants if possible but i need to find a good substrate i am affraid of all the horror stories i have been reading here about sand soooo. helppp lol

thats tricky. what if you went with a natural colored tile or carpet and potted plants?

Not sure about leos specifically, but for uromastyx, another desert species, you can use washed playsand. It's much better than the repti-sand because the granules are rounded instead of jagged, so it's easier to pass if it is ingested. You can get it at Home Depot and those sorts of places.

Anything but sand, paper towels are obviously both easy and cheap, but if you don't like the look, go with reptile carpet. You can get it in green or brown. If you want live plants, it's going to get complicated and expensive.
