Building custom plants

Does anyone have any tips or links for guides to building custom plant decor for a tank? Things like where to get the fake plants from, what to use for a base and an adhesive, things along those lines? Thanks!

I picked up my plants from micheals (as long as they are plastic and unsented, they are USUALLY okay.)
I am using gorilla glue to stick them to stuff!

Not using anything as a base, I'm just gluing it onto the "rocks" I've made.

For a base, I'd use the green foam they have at Michaels or in the craft section at walmart. I made a few hides from it; it cuts well and shapes well with a wire scrub
