Can eggs form unfertilized?

I recently bought 2 female geckos, and one of them has eggs inside her (she had them when i bought her). I am not sure if she was kept with another male. Is it possible for eggs to form without having a male around?

may be stupid to some. I am just curious.

It is possible, but not extremely common. Your choices would be to either talk to the person you got her from, or the store and find out if she was with a male, or incubate the eggs anyway and see what happens.
