Canon PowerShot A1100 IS

I was wondering if anyone has expierience with canon powershot a1100 IS? I was looking at this camera at bestbuy and it looks like a great camera. i know the a590 is good but i wanted to know if that camera has a macro mode. the camera is only 130 dollars and it is 12.1 megapixels and 4x optical zoom. Please respond with any preferences on this camera. here is a link the the camera

I have never used it personally but one of my in-laws has it and they said it is a good camera for the dollar. If no one on here has had experience just do some reviews research and go play with it at the store.

I think it is the EXACT same camera but 4.1 megs better... I would love to get it and try it out...

I too use the A590IS and that looks a lot like it for features, just newer. It has about the same macro range too. 2"-17.7" for the A590IS and 1.2"-18" for the A1100IS. That is a good deal, and I would say go for it, I paid $150 on sale for my A590 last year and as you can see from Herpencounter in your other thread it takes good pictures.
