With all the talk of a virus decimating commercial cricket suppliers, perhaps it's time to consider starting a colony of Blaptica dubia roaches as a backup / supplemental feeder. These are non-climbing, non-flying roaches and are very prolific and long lived. They are quieter and much less smelly than crickets. I have been keeping dubia roaches for 6 or 7 years now, and normally I cool my colony down for the winter so it doesn't grow out of control, but this past winter I kept the heat on, and I have way more than I can use right now.
250 Blaptica dubia starter colony for $65 shipped.
This will contain dozens of adults and will immediately start producing high quality food for your animals. No need to wait months for young nymphs to grow up before your colony starts producing. The rest of the 250 will be medium to large nymphs. I'll throw in handfuls of small nymphs for free as an "overcount bonus".
PM with any questions or to place an order. Thanks!
