David Bowie the savanna monitor and question

I picked up my baby savannah monitor today! Named it David Bowie because space oddity was on the radio on the way home and we dont know what sex he is yet lol!

Anyway she/he moved all the substrate out from under him and is laying on the glass right over the uth, the temp gun says the glass is about 102 degrees. I'd that too hot for his belly? I need to get a basking light because I don't think he notices the ceramic hear emitter.

I made some important changes and now he's back to get use to his new home.

Its very sad the way these animals are treated =(

102 degrees is way to cold. The link the slayer wrote is a great caresheet.

Agreed, 102F is not nearly hot enough. I would recommend 135F to 150F for the basking spot. Use a temp gun to calibrate.
