heat? I just installed the ZooMed UTH on my two 20 gal long tanks. I keep our house at 73 now (summer) and in the 60's in the fall/winter. I have a rheostat I had at low but just moved closer to medium. (you have to wait a full 2 hours after you adjust it) I'm wondering how many degrees is it designed to heat. I just know I will end up buying a thermostat as this will drive me crazy but until the reptile show next weekend, I'll need to use the rheostats. And when I check temps with my infrared temp thing, it can vary greatly even a few inches away. Arrghh! I guess I should adjust it according to what it reads inside the warm hide? Even if it reads higher just outside the hide?
