Does anyone use a lamp with their UTH?

I keep the house at 73 now and will be in the 60's in the fall/winter. The UTH is keeping the carpet temp at about 90-92 in the warm hide area. Shouldn't I be concerned with the air temp? Should I use a low watt bulb to heat the air in the warm side? Or will that raise the floor temp too much?

As long as your floor temp in the warm end is around 88-90ish I wouldn't be concerned. Leopards can handle a slight temp drop in winter just fine. If it falls below 88 then a low watt(15-25) red bulb should give you a boost.
