i have heard of people consuming egg shell flour as a calcium supplement and i was thinking if it would be a good idea as a reptile supplement. i've read that the normal chicken egg shell is above 90% calcium carbonate but i was wondering if the other chemicals in the shell's composition would make the calcium easier to assimilate.

i've tried this on skinks, hedgehogs and hermit crabs with some success i guess. i mix it with powdered cuttlebone and crushed, dried spinach don't know if it's beneficial to leopard geckos though
