Eye problem

hello my gecko friends! I'm back again for some advice. Zeus was keeping his eye closed a lot more than usual and it made me worry, but when I made noise he would open and it looked fine. Now it's a little rounder, black underneath and he keeps it closed all the time unless I pick him up for feed him, then he opens it. But yeah it looks rounder and black lining around the underneath. Not too sure what it is... I want to take him to the vet but want to try some at home remedies first. He's pooping and eating fine it's just that one eye. It's been a couple weeks not and it hasn't gotten worse or better.Thanks!

You could try washing it gently with warm water.

I used a eye rinse, made for turtles that I found at petsmart. Worked for me on occasion to get rid of gunk, but I wouldn't wait any longer since it's already been two weeks.
