Ptyodactylus guttatus

Hi,

im keeping P.guttatus for 4 years,i keep a pair of them in a 40x40x60 viv, they are rock dwellers,i have a spot under which they have 40°C and an UV-lamp.They are not strictly nocturnal, you see them often under the spot, and when the lights go out, they climb on the lamps to get the last heat.

They need a cooling period in Winter, about 10-15°C and for about 4 weeks.

A little bit late, hope it helps a little bit.

Greetings

Matthias

Welllll as far as the Ptyodactylus sp. wether its P.hasselquisti,P.guttatas.
Same rule aplies.Keep them hott with plenty of verticall slabs of rocks and a packed sand substrate. These guys like it hot and dry.
Gestation is roughly 2-3 months in captivity with semi adhesive eggs that are usually found in rock crevices high up.
