Ingredients
2.5 cups warm water
2.5 cups white vinegar
1 cup white sugar
4 table spoons brewer’s yeast
4 cups instant mash potatoes
Dry active yeast-Enough to sprinkle a bit on the top of each culture
Steps
1) Mix warm water and vinegar together in a tall mixing bowl
2) Add sugar to the water/vinegar mixture and stir until dissolved
3) In a separate bowl mix the instant mash potatoes and brewer’s yeast
4) Then put instant mash potatoes/brewer’s yeast mixture in the mixing bowl with the water/vinegar/sugar mix.
5) Stir until the mixture turns into a paste like mixture
6) Place desired amount into each culture
7) Sprinkle dry active yeast in each culture
8) Let sit dry active yeast will swell up
Note: My recipe makes the media more of a solid. If you want to make more liquidly make sure you use a 50/50 vinegar/water mix or there is a chance of mold growing. If you are unsure it’s always better to have a little bit more vinegar then to lose the culture to a mold outbreak
