I know this would be a huge under taking but would be really cool, and would be a great tool for the forum members. It is something that none of the other forum sites have been able to accomplish with any kind of success.

I agree 100%. I'd even suggest setting up a separate forum (aka the "Care Sheets Forum") and post care sheets for different species (but lock it so that there's only one thread per species--just an idear.)

Well it's not a forum but I've set up the GeckoList.com website with this purpose in mind. I haven't had time to look for any information though. Yes that is what I am talking about.

But there should be some short of filter to keep the "BS" out. Such as a panel of exsperienced keepers.

Well the site that I set up requires approval for all photos and care sheets added (so i can make sure to keep porn out for example), and care sheets and info have to be submitted by e-mail, so I can monitor that as well. It actually works pretty well.

Thanks! The only thing that can help at this point is to add some more data to it. So if you know any information on a species that is listed as "unknown", I'd love to add it to the database.

Some stuff you can add yourself:
Add a Photo
Add a CareSheet Link (to add a care sheet on the page e-mail it to me)
Add a Breeder

The Subfamily, Genus, and Species Information has to be e-mailed, but if there's enough interest I'll add a page for adding that information as well.

It's currently adsense supported, but it can handle advertising as well. It's getting a good number of visits daily already (some 50 visitors a day, not bad for a non-forum, non-news, non-blog site that's been around for under 3 months )
