It is a 'new' species of Goniursaurus, or 'cave gecko'. There is an ongoing problem with taxonomy on this specie in that they are not being accurately represented and being sold to exporter/importers as a sub-specie or locality they are not. These geckos are actually more closely related to Coleonyx elegans and C. mitratus from Central Amercia.
The gecko in the photo is a gecko from the wild, and they are certainly not as 'well-fed' as geckos in captivity. If you look at pictures of most geckos in the wild, they look pretty bad by our standards.
as marcia started that is a wild gecko in its native environment but if you look at the captive bred ones, they are not fat geckos and have a much slimmer body.
