Just use a tweezer to pick them up; I never used my bare hands to pick them up.

Mealworm beetles don't bite. I pick them up sometimes just to transfer them to another container. Use tweezers gently if you're nervous. :)

I usually use feeding tongs for crickets/beetles. Worms I usually just do with my hands. It's not that bad, honestly. I've even fed Superworms with my fingers and never been bit. Mind over matter I guess. Now if we were talking Spiders...well...ew!

I use tongs to move any insect. Mealworms and crickets aren't a big deal, mealworm beetles even (though their feet are sticky & using tongs makes it easier to get them off). Superworms and superworm beetles... I prefer not to touch with my fingers.
