I have two females. This is my first season. I have done alot of research for over a year now. But im unsure if my females are gravid or not. I took some pictures and would love to have some opinions. My one female definitely looks chunky in her belly. My second isnt quite as buldging but have noticed a little bit of buldging out her sides. The female with the big belly spends alot of time digging in the lay box. Shes dug here and there for almost 2 weeks. The second I've only see in the the lay box a few times with no digging.

Here is female #1

Hard to distinguish between fat pads and eggs in some cases, even for my females after 11 years of experience. It's good you have the lay box. Some females do lay without benefit from the male, but I don't find it that common. I guess you'll find out eventually either way.
