I had never even seen one of those but with the price of that one you could get a hova...plus if you read the specs for the mini it has "fan assisted air circulation”...most people will tell you to stay away from the models that have fans...just my 2 cents =)
Price: it's true that it's about the same price as the hobovator, even more expensive than some, but according to the description it includes a proportional digital thermostat. For the hobovator you have to get your own which can cost as much as $100, so if the thermostat is as good as promised it may be a good deal.
Many people feel that the incubators with the fans will dry the eggs out.
The real problem with the hovabators with the fans is that it's harder to maintain lower temps in them as they were designed for chicken eggs, which are incubated at a much higher temp than reptiles usually. The turbo fan models distribute heat better, but do cause a much dryer environment. This can be compensated by using sealed incubation containers and opening the lid once a week for air exchange.
