This is the first time I've ever seen a leopard gecko hatch with it's tail only half the length it should be.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Someone else on another forum had something similar. I had a few AFT's hatch with clubbed tails but never a leo.

I had a couple babies hatch that way once - one also had deformed feet. I ended up finding that the spot in the incubator that they were at was getting temps significantly higher than the rest of the incubator, resulting in babies that developed too quickly and had minor deformities. The tail will never grow to be a normal looking tail - it'll always be kind of clubbed.
