Hatchling heating?

So for all of you that use racks for hatchlings, how do you heat them. Under belly or back heat (flex watt both used) Do you guys even use a thermostat for flex-watt? thanks

I use 3" flexwatt controlled by a ranco on/off thermostat, under the tubs.

I bought a rack already made by someone else. It uses back heat with heat cable and a thermostat with a probe in the middle of the middle rack. It worked fine last season.
