i had two healthy hatchlings born 8/13. they were incubated at 86-90 degrees for 34 days. both are doing very well, have shed for the first time and are getting used to the idea of stalking prey (still not sure what to do with it). i had noticed that when the ones runs, it kind of falls over. im not sure if it is tripping itself, or still getting used to its body, is this normal? i have not noticed the other one doing this.

Is the cage bottom slippery? Give it another week and as long as it's walking normally you're probably OK. I have one hatchling that seems to have the enigma syndrome even though it's not an enigma. When it first hatched it could only go in circles and then it would fall over. Now it's learned how to walk as long as it goes slowly.

no, the bottom is paper towel. what characterizes an enigma? his mom was normal, his dad is tremper hybino..and he was born normal, he didnt run circles at first, but he clearly did not have his balance as he fell over quite a few times trying to get away from my hand when taking him from the egg container to the tank, and he explores fine, as long as he goes slow, like you said, but if i startle him, he's tripping all over the place!

I've had a few stumblers. What vit/cal powders are you using?

they are only 3 days old, and im using stickytongue farms brand (the same i use for my chameleons and other geckos). i have a bottle cap full of the outdoor formula (phosphorus free calcium without d3) and i dusted their first batch of crickets with a tiny amount of the indoor formula (phosphorus free calcium with d3) and the outdoor stuff.
