i have some levis geckos.I have heat tape heating my levis.The sand on the warm end is around 3 " thick.I have my heat set at 100 degrees.By the time it gets throught the plastic tub and the sand the surface is 85.Will they burrow deeper on the warm end to get the 90 degree heat? will they thermoregulate on the warm end?

85 should do roger if they want they will dig there way down to get the temp they want have three leos and one has dug right down to the glass and it s about 95 glass level but she enjoys it there so you should be just fine

another question.i have an upside clay pot on the warm end.Do i need to cut an opening in the pot for them to go in and out or will they just burrow underneath to get at the heat?
