heating while traveling.

so i have been looking for a good way to keep my reptiles warm while traveling to and from vet visits and adoptions days etc... so i took a pillow case, sewed pockets into it like a quilt, filled the pockets with uncooked rice. i microwaved the creation for 5 mins and it stayed warm for a little more than an hour! i stopped at a 7-11 and microwaved it again and got another hour of it!! just thought i would share.

Heat really isn't necessary for such a short trip, but it does make them more comfortable
I never knew rice held heat so well, thanks for sharing!

yeah but when i travel for adoption events with all the reptiles it is a long trip. last weekend it was 4 hours one way and my foster beardies dont like the cold at all.

You could use hand warmers, just make sure they are wraped in something so the critters dont get burnt. And they last 8 hrs.
