Hello I made this account in hopes that I can get some advice. I currently work at a daycare that just bought Leopard Geckos for the class.I am well aware that reptiles DON’T belong in classrooms but I know little to none about these guys. He doesn’t look well to me. This is the enclosure he is being kept in with another gecko with a glass divider. When I went to look at him he could barely open his eyes or move. They only have a heat bulb and a water dish with a hide. He was also sniffing. Because I own reptiles of my own I was going to try and convince them to let me take him home and get him to a vet. But any advice helps.

He's having a hard time getting his shed off. . Get a spray bottle and spray him all over just a little. Then use your fingernails to pull off all the shed. That will help a lot. Ideally he can have a heat mat on the outside bottom of the cage with a thermostat to set it to 90F. Is he eating and pooping? Leopard geckos can do OK in a classroom, but obviously they have to be in good shape first. Start with that and let us know how it goes.
