Humidity issue

Recently got a created gecko after about 15 years of being interested in them. I come from the aquaria hobby. I’ve kept almost every salt and fresh water fish imaginable. Currently I’m having an issue maintaining humidity. I was shooting for a bioactive terrarium. I have a couple cork rounds, a large stump and a few other medium sticks, frog moss and a couple fake plants. Could all the wood products be sucking the humidity too quickly for my mister to keep up or could it be something else?

Add a water dish (whether or not the gecko drinks from it). Switch out the fake plants for real plants (pothos is great) and mist the cage every evening. The water dish and the plants will help with the humidity. It's normal with crested geckos for there to be a humidity spike after the evening misting and then for it to decrease. I do this and don't measure humidity. My oldest crested gecko is now 16.
