Leaf Tailed Geckos - The Genus Uroplatus by Sascha Svatek and Susanna Van Duin is a good book for some of this. The do talk a little about habitats, habitat destruction and status in the wild. Some good information, but geared more toward the hobiest... a bit out of date as well.

There is another book by Patrick Schoeneker (spelling?), but I can't think of the name off hand.

This is a decent read as well:

I have a few pdfs around somewhere that are far more informative...I'll try to track them down tonight. You might want to search through the forums here...www.geckosunlimited.com. There were some links to a few decent papers over there. I'd love to see the report when you're done if you're up for sharing! Best of luck.

here's a couple pdf links...can't seem to track the others down...

thanks so much for the info! When the reports finished i'll try to remember to post it. on a cool note after 3 long years of trying to get a uroplatus (that was 100% not wild caught and not a million bucks) i finally achieved that goal, i have a 7 month old lineatus! yay!
