Installing Slate Tile in wooden Viv

Hello Everyone,
I have been thinking about acquiring a leopard gecko soon and I am wondering how would I install Slate tile in a wooden viv. Also I plan to run some flex watt underneath. Any help will be appreciated

To install the slate you can do two things, either cut the tile to fit the tank or build the tank to fit the tile.

I use exo-terra's heat mats because they are really thin and heat tape is not insured in Canada. All I do is cut the tile then place it directly on top of the heat mat. I have been running this setup of 4 years almost and have not had any problems. Some people will use a thin layer of sand under the tiles to help level the tile on the heat mat or tape.
