The spots you are seeing are typical for every granite influence. If your using a WC line you will almost always see those spots. They make for a very cool pattern as they age, but are definetly of granite lines.

Thanks for the info Pat! Most of my stuff this season is from WC blood. And I believe the mother of this guy had some graniting going on. Here's a picture from the same father but a different mother. This boy hatched out at 5g on 3/20/11! I haven't weighed him lately but I will tonight. He has some really light colors.
