hi ive owed a female gecko for about 7 months now and i bought a new female yesterday they are both about 1 years old and i added the new famle with the old in a mutal area and they were fine until the new one bit my old one after about 10 minutes what am i doing wrong?

nothing probably. Geckos can take awhile to 'warm up' to new people in their territory.
If you have room, keep them separate for a few days, but switch decortions inbetween both. Leos use smell/taste to get around, so they'll get used to each other.
If you don't have a separate cage, then try cleaning the cage completely, then redecorating somewhat. This will make it new territory for both of them.
