Leopard gecko not laying eggs

I bread my female leopard gecko with my male. I heard it would take 3 to 6 weeks for her to lay. It is now 6 weeks and she still has not laid her eggs. She is eating normally and has no bloated stomach and is not lethargic so I don’t think she is egg bound. I am starting to worry that something might be wrong. This is my first time ever breeding leopard geckos. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also what is the best way to look at her eggs.

Look at her belly. If she has eggs, you will see two white ovals taking up most of her abdominal space. There are many possibilities as to why she hasn't laid:
--she wasn't ovulating when she mated so she isn't developing eggs
--she's just taking longer than average (believe me, it happens)
--the male isn't fertile (that could be it, but don't jump to that conclusion)
--the female isn't going to develop eggs (I've had this with some females. Once again, don't assume this is the issue)
--it looked as if she mated with the male, but she didn't

My recommendation is to look for eggs in her belly. If you don't see any, put her in again with the male and see what happens.
