Leopard or day gecko

Which one should I get I'm new to this..can I hold them? I understand that leopards are nocturnal can I hold him in the day time

Leopard geckos are mostly awake at night, but just like we aren't only awake when the sun is up, they are also awake during the day sometimes and it's fine to hold them then. Day geckos are lovely to look at but generally not handle-able, so if you want to hold something, go with a leopard gecko or a crested gecko. Read care sheets to help you decide.
