He could just be getting used to his new surroundings. Reptiles can get really stressed when they're in a new home and will stop eating temporarily. I say just give him awhile, and try not to handle him or make lots of noise. When he feels safer he'll eat.

The stress of a new environment can definitely make them stop eating. I really wouldn't worry too much.

Does he have a normal amount of fat on his tail? If he has a skinny "pencil tail" that could be an indication of another problem and you should get it checked out. Otherwise, don't stress they can easily go for a while without food.

If the issue persists you can try another food such as crickets, or you can decapitate a meal worm before offering it as the smell may stimulate his appetite.

DUDE THAT TAIL IS SKINNY! Alright first of All Check Heating make sure the Cage is at 90, Second he has had to have eatten before so make sure you find out what he orginally ate Crickets - Mealworms. My Leopard gecko ( really Small ) Didnt eat for about a Week untill i got her crickets ( Thats what they fed her at the Pets store ). And If he eats Wax worms make sure you get some of those in to his System right now.

Yeah his tail is worryingly thin which means that you should get him checked by a vet ASAP. Also if you have other geckos keep them well separated and be sure to thoroughly wash your hands before handling any other reptiles.

He is very clearly ill unfortunately - Talk to the vet and get him checked out as soon as possible. Most parasites are very treatable.

Where are you located? Unless you're in the middle of nowhere, I'm sure there's someone near you who could have a look at him. Here's a website that listsherp vets by state:

Other than that, you should try as many different foods as you can find (mealworms--try decapitating them as suggested above, small superworms, waxworms, crickets, baby roaches, anything else available). Also try an appetite stimulant like Repta-Aid. You need to get any food in him you can.

As Amanda said you should get some Repta-Aid in to his System. Its full of Vitamins and a Couple of drops on your geckos nose will get him to lick it off. Pets Mart - Pet Co and Online Pet stores have them.

Repta-boost/Repta-aid is a very good way to get his strength/energy up. You will still need to get him treated somehow though as it is very unlikely that he'll recover without medication. Be careful not to give him too much of the repta-boost at once especially if he hasn't eaten for a while.

Leos don't get that emaciated unless they are starved or something is very wrong. I doubt he was starved by his current lack of interest in food. There are several possible causes including parasites, impaction, crypto - none of which are likely to go away even if you can get some nutrition in to him. If nothing else call a general vet and see if they can direct you to a specialist.

If I can ask where did you get him from? Some history might be very helpful.

Good luck- hope he gets better.

My Lizards for some reason refuse to eat anything other than crickets. Try to have as many available foods out for him.
My LIZARDS ONLY EAT CRICKETS, perhaps yours is a PICKY eater as well and not feeling well?
