MBD Crestie Question

About 8 months ago, I rescued a crested gecko with a pretty awful case of MBD. He could hardly walk, open his mouth, or climb. These days, he crawls around, eats like a beast, and is always very social. I was curious If a gecko will ever truly "recover" from this. He still walks funny, and I worry because sometimes he falls off of his tank walls. Maybe I'll post some pics if I get around to taking them Any advice appreciated!

I have never experienced this. From everything I have seen on here. They will never recover. They cannot heal, but the progression can be stopped.
