Moist hides

Hi all. What have you guys found to be the best things for a leopard geckos moist hide? And do you prefer moss or other things?

I use coconut coir,but that's only because I already have it in abundance. If you use moss,make sure that you rinse it out with hot water for a little while,I've found mites and other bugs in moss straight from the package. Moss,coir,paper towels,etc all work great.

just cut a smooth hole in the lid,and maybe one in the side,and you're set.no jagged cut holes,geckos have way thin skin.

I have a cool rock hide and I keep. Sphagnum Moss moist inside. The rock holds heat and keeps the miss moist. Every. Couple days I soak a new batch of moss until it is soaked and replace the old with it. My Leos love it.

I use both moss and coco coir. Both seem to be very good at anti-mold and fungus

I used to use sphagnum moss but one of my leo's likes to ingest it. So I switched to coco coir.
