Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and geckos in general. For a couple of years I had an interest in them, but with small kids I didn't want to start with the hobby.
By now the kids are 8 and 6 years old, and they too have an interest in reptiles. :main_thumbsup:
Both of them follow music lessons and practice +/- 5 times a week at home. This takes about 15 min for each of them. The instruments played at home are xylophone, electronic drum and saxophone.
All of this occurs in our living room where I would like to put gecko's too.
My preferable gecko's would be Phelsumas / Lygodactylus and/or R. Cilatus.

My main question is: are the geckos going to be bothered by the music?

Thank you!

Welcome to GF! My geckos are in the living room and the dining room and we just carry on with life as usual. Don't worry about it. It's kind of like having a baby and not taking great pains to keep the household silent so the baby adjusts to the level of activity.

I don't think it will bother them a lot, my geckos only goes out of their hideouts a watch me when there is some noise. They are nervous only when they hear vacuum cleaner :D
