Is it okay to give a new gecko the name of a gecko that died? (I only had her for 3 weeks)

I like the name but it seems weird to give her the same name.

If you think the name fits. :)
Maybe add on a suffix like "Jr." or "II" so you're not really "replacing" the old gecko - you probably won't *use* it much in practice, but the thought's there.

Sorry about your leo. :( What happened to her?

My sister got me a gecko at pets*mart... she did not know that it wasn't a good idea and that I was going to go to the reptile show in September.

She was really small and quit eating after 4 days and died 3 weeks after I got her... I even took her to the vet, she weighed barely 7g, and I hand fed her for awhile. I stopped feeding her because I was afraid I was stressing her out and she died a few days later.

So I went to the reptile show that I was initially planning on going to and got a gecko from Kelli H at HISS... I have had her two weeks and I really need to settle on a name... by the way the new gecko is doing great.
Kelli said that the other gecko was probably just a hatchling because her hatchlings weigh about 5g.

The name is Samira... it means "friend of the night"
I have looked at other names but I like this one
