Hi all,
I have acquired a leopard gecko from a friend and could use some advice if anybody is able.
I bought the leo home in his vivarium and only made one change. He had a huge rock in the cool end which left no room for a cool hide so I replaced it with cork bark that he can crawl under and climb over.
Now, I understand that during the day they mostly stay in their hide and are mostly active at dawn and dusk but the friend told me that he is always out and about in the viv. He came out on the second morning to eat (not sure he was being fed properly as he looks rather skinny).
So, my question is that I haven't seen him out of his hot hide since he ate, Is this normal?
Does he still need time to settle in even if he is in the same viv minus the rock?
Am I exl3cting too much from him?
Any help would be gratefully received
